Your Invisalign orthodontics treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that you change every two weeks for the next set of aligners. Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth, and your teeth only. As your best rated NYC Invisalign practitioner replaces each aligner, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final beautiful position.

WHAT IS INVISALIGN®?

Invisalign® is the latest technology to straight misaligned teeth in an almost invisible way, without wires or metal braces, with no self-consciousness, no speech impediments, far greater comfort and it is available for patients from the ages 12 and up.

WHAT KIND OF PROBLEMS CAN INVISALIGN® FIX?

The usual problems Invisalign® can fix include:

Crowded and severely crowded teeth,
Widely spaced teeth,
Overbite or overjet,
Underbite,
Crossbite,
Deep bite,
Open bite, and
Midline shift.

HOW DO INVISALIGN® CLEAR ALIGNERS WORK?

The Invisalign® system works on the same principles of teeth straightening with metal braces. However, they are much more comfortable because there are no wires or metal pieces, they have a clear design and each aligner is generated following a computer progression. Your Invisalign® teeth straightening will progress as follow:

First, we will take you bite impressions,
Then, these impressions are laser scanned to generate 3D images in a computer,
Finally, a series of clear “aligners” are created, each progressively moving your teeth towards the desired position.
