Dr. Michael Gelb, DDS, MS is a world-renowned TMJ and Sleep Specialist with practices in both New York City and White Plains. He received his D.D.S. degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and his M.S. from SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Gelb is the co-author of GASP: Airway Health- The Hidden Path to Wellness, and the co-founder of both The Foundation for Airway Health and The American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry.

The Gelb Center was founded over 30 years ago by Dr. Michael Gelb’s father, Dr. Harold Gelb. Since then, Dr. Michael has taken his father’s findings to the next level through his Airway Centric® integrated therapy. He invented the ACG™ Airway Centric® System with the help of ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. The ACG System is the first day and night dental appliance solution that offers an integrated approach to addressing airway issues.

Zubad Newaz, DDS

We are excited to announce the addition of Zubad Newaz, DDS to The Gelb Center Family! Dr. Newaz received his DDS at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and has specialty certificates in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from The University of Florida as well as Orthodontics and Dentofacial from NYU-Langone in Brooklyn.

The Gelb Center was founded by Dr. Michael Gelb’s Father: Dr. Harold Gelb. Dr. Harold Gelb graduated Cum Laude from Tufts University College of Dental Medicine. He is a past president of the American Equilibration Society and the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. His articles on TMJ Disorders have appeared in virtually every recognized dental journal including The Journal of Craniomandibular Practice.

He is currently an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Tufts University College of Dental Medicine; a position he has held since 1992.

In 1985 Dr. Gelb founded the Craniomandibular Pain Center at Tufts University College of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a Clinical Professor at the Department of Restorative Dentistry

His articles on TMJ Disorders have appeared in virtually every recognized dental journal including The Journal of Craniomandibular Practice.

He was a Clinical Professor at the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, from 1971 to 1991. He has also been the director of the Temporomandibular Joint Clinic at the Department of Otolaryngology, in the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary from 1958 to 1979.
